Edge Fund!

We are so grateful to the Edge Fund for awarding us with another grant of £1000. We will be meeting in the new year to discuss our plans for spending.

The Edge Fund focuses its grantgiving on grassroots groups and campaigns that would ordinarily find it difficult to receive money from traditional and mainstream funders. Our work at Mad Insight casts a critical lens upon the mental health system as we know it and the biomedical, pro-pharmaceutical, coercive models which dominate the mental healthcare landscape. We wouldn’t be easily considered for mainstream funding that rests upon these types of approaches.

We are proud to be among the courageous and radical groups who have been awarded funding in Round 16 and we aim to extend our reach and our impact with this money.

Analysis makes a mischief

Well I guess that’s it, I’ve got a problem or more accurately we’ve got one, what next? I know! Let’s make someone else responsible. Now make sure to gather all the necessary ingredients, a splish of that and a sploosh of this and like magic you should begin to see a higher power of your own making. Hopefully it’s grinning back, or at least ensuring your heart sings in tandem with your surroundings. Oh shit! Did I say magic? No, ignore that. That would be fucking psychotic. more “Analysis makes a mischief”

To a factor of everything

Well done on keeping to the programme for such an extended period. What’s this? session six? Blimey.

Sorry we don’t have badges here but we do have health warnings. Psychonautical experiences may have disrupted your thinking mechanisms, rendering them less effective in achieving an opportunely productive mindset. This risks alienation and slander in any environment more corporate. More significantly however, the simplicity in which we have looked to dabble is in fact an illusion. One could call it quackery, if they were feeling whimsical. Don’t tell HR, I don’t mean it’s bullshit. more “To a factor of everything”

Memory and delusion. It’s all perceptual matter.

Are we going to be bothered about a little disagreement on the confines of reality? We can go back and forth on who knows best and who is deluded but you don’t get to draw the line where happenings happen because you can’t envisage a place for all of them. Have the heart to indulge a story, but then maybe we lack mental capacity we could share diagrammatically. What vengeance this swells inside of me. Feel free to offer a challenge but please don’t disintegrate me. more “Memory and delusion. It’s all perceptual matter.”
